Lipkovich: I bought toilet paper with inscription “Book by Charhinets”

He has decided to reply to the statement approved by the writers’ organization.

Let us remind you that the Belarusian Union of Writers adopted a statement that condemned Lipkovich’s “fascist actions” – he had burnt books by Mikalai Charhinets. No wonder – General and writer Mikalai Charhinets is the head of the governmental Union of Writers.

In an interview with Euroradio Lipkovich says that it is not the first Charhinets’ attempt to revenge himself for the burnt books:
Lipkovich: “I have already been informed that Charhinets has collected a two fingers thick file of my statements. His lawyers kept looking for a reason to sue me. They did not manage to do anything because I have the right to do everything I want with my property. I bought toilet paper and it was called “Book by Charhinets”. Surprisingly, that toilet paper was hard. I decided to burn it. I burnt it in public – why not?”

The blogger is sure that his behaviour is legal. He thinks that the availability of Charhinets’ books violates the Trade Rules approved by the Council of Ministers. He says that the 40th article forbids selling such goods as alcohol, cigarettes and erotic literature to minors.

Lipkovich: “Do you know the book “Mystery of the Oval Room”? The book contains eroticism and pornographic elements. It should not be sold to everyone. I am doing what the state isn’t in this case. The state just did not check the contents of the material according to its own state rules”.

Lipkovich calls Charhinets “so-called” and says that he will continue the struggle against him.

Lipkovich: “We will apply for the celebration of the Day of protection of Belarusian morality; we will send an official application to the City Executive Committee. And I am planning to send a reply now. The Union of Writers headed by Charhinets has to publish an alternative opinion”.
