Siarhei Zhyhalka of Belarus has won silver at the junior world chess championship in Argentina, reports BELTA news agency. Before the last round, Zhyhalka was leading with 0.5 points ahead of Maxim Vashye-la Grave who tops the world's junior ratings.

However, the Belarusian drew with Russia's Ivan Popov, while the Frenchman won his last game.
