Great-granddaughter of famous composer Stanisław Moniuszko arrives in Minsk

This is the first time a professional pianist, Ms. Clara Moniuszko, has visited the motherland of her great-grandfather.

The famous founder of Polish opera Stanisław Moniuszko was born near Smilavichy and lived in Minsk. His great-granddaughter often performs in Saint-Petersburg, Moscow and Krakow.

A professor of the Paris Conservatoire, President of the French Association of S. Moniuszko, Clara Moniuszko has told the STV channel that she is going to visit her famous ancestor’s historical motherland and get acquainted with Belarusian culture.
